My Role: Lead UX/UI Designer
In 2012 I was contracted by State Farm as a UX/UI Designer. During my time working with State Farm by responsibilities included user testing, user acceptance testing, documentation management, user interface design, wireframing, designing user flows, mock-ups and HTML/CSS prototypes
While working with State Farm as a designer I worked on several projects (products) at a time. My primary area of focus was Life insurance, and the Log in and Registration processs
The objectives of this project:
- Meet with stakeholders (C-Level executives, Business Analyst, Middle Managers, etc…) present updates, gather key requirements and share discoveries from user testing and or development obstacles.
- Documentation Management- To communicate accordingly with all the parties involved I managed all relevant documentation. The documents we used allowed the developers and Business Analyst to stay on the same page with design throughout the process. In addition, I was responsible for writing and presenting reports to explain user feedback and possible improvements.
- User Acceptance Testing – We worked within an agile environment and we completed key development sprints my responsibility was to work with QA to make sure our interactions are properly executed and annotated in the design documentation. I wrote reports to highlight areas of opportunity and missed interactions for development. These reports were used by project management to track the project progress and better allocate resources.
